Hi, I'm Danelle!

Since early childhood I have been an artist of all mediums. Drawing, painting, sculpting, decorating, floral arrangement - anything I could get my hands on and transform into something beautiful. My parents gave me my first digital camera in 2006 when I was 18. I instantly fell in love with portrait photography, because it allowed me to combine all of these different art forms into one.

For as long as I can remember I have sought out ways to express myself through art, and I've always had a lot to express! I'm an Empath - I process and interpret the world around me through my emotions. I'm naturally highly observant and hyper-aware of my surroundings, paying attention to the tiniest of details that most would overlook. I think in vivid imagery that enables me to create and hold detailed artistic visions in my mind. I also experience person-color synesthesia, where I associate people with specific colors. This unusual collection of unique traits combine into an eccentric personality best summed up as..."She's an artist!"

For the past 16 years I've been privileged to work as a family/Lifestyle photographer out of my hometown, Visalia in the beautiful California Central Valley. I captured dozens of weddings, countless family memories and children's precious milestones. I photographed newborns who are now graduating high school! I made deep connections with so many clients that became forever friends and who's support kept me motivated and inspired to keep growing as an artist and professional.

The more I gained experience and developed my skills, the more my passion for portrait photography intensified. I began to feel a deeper emotional connection to my subjects which captivated me and started to reflect in my work. I started incorporating Fine Art elements into my artistic style, seeking to capture not just my subjects' physical appearance, but their emotional presence.

For myself, there is no stronger emotional presence than that of a child. When I work with children, they remind me to live in the moment, to wonder at the world around me, and how important it is to play. Their innocence and untethered imaginations fill me with inspiration. Each phase of childhood passes by so quickly, with their ever-changing expressions and interests as they discover the world around them.

No time is more fleeting and magical than the first weeks of a new life. A home with a newborn is a sacred place, filled with hope, gratitude and overwhelming love that feels like magic. Every newborn I work with leaves the tiniest handprint on my heart that I treasure. There is no greater honor or privilege than capturing those first precious memories.

I never take for granted how lucky I am to be doing what I love most, for a living. The ability to devote myself to my passion and my artwork is a priceless gift that brings immeasurable joy and fulfillment to my life. I feel incredibly grateful for the all the precious memories I've been invited to witness and capture throughout my career as a photographer.
